Will Saalsaa
William Saalsaa is an Assistant Planner with Mintier Harnish. He joined the team as a planning intern shortly after graduating from the University of Portland. He has since transitioned to an Assistant Planner position working primarily on 6th Cycle Housing Element Updates. William studied economics at the University of Portland with a concentration in environmental economics and policy and has a sustainability minor. Prior to beginning with Mintier Harnish, he spent four months in South Africa teaching high school economics and business studies at Grey College in Bloemfontein and Wynberg Boys’ High School in Cape Town.
William is an advocate for reducing car dependency and has interests in bicycle and public transit infrastructure development. He supports the belief that diversified transit networks and neighborhood uses contribute to improved street safety and neighborhood vitality.
